bonesinbutter This album is a beautiful piece of alternative art with fragments of Peter Gabriel, early post-punk and late Talk Talk echoing through these five finely crafted songs. In spite of these references MEE has created a unique musical style that defies any classification. Which is a good thing. Enjoy this album and dive into MEE's authentic sonic world filled with beautiful piano parts, techno loops, organic guitar riffs - you name it...

about

The debut solo EP of former Faults frontman as his new project MEE. Written and recorded during the first lockdown, it followed a long period of pain and self doubt, brought on by divorce and selling a family home, starting all over again in fact.

Having subsequently met and fallen in love with his partner, he found her to be an incredibly positive influence on him, shining a light on all the good things within him that he'd forgotten or was led to believe weren't special.

He was inspired to start writing again and the first song that got the ball rolling - 'The Good's Come' - was all about just that. The good coming into his life and having a positive effect on everything surrounding him and how he looked at things.

A laptop was purchased in February 2020 and Tim was compelled to record as soon as the pandemic hit and lockdown began in the UK. Being separated physically from his partner for a long period of time at the beginning of it inspired 'All The Way', the first love song he had written that he felt he could share. 'Travelled' was written as a metaphor for how we need to 'travel' in our lives and make sure we make the most of everything, the people we love, share magical experiences and moments and of course, see as much of the world as we can.

Ultimately this is a positive and very personal record. It is honest and heartfelt, both lyrically and musically.
